Global Campaign for Microbicides is a broad-based, international effort to build support among policymakers, opinion leaders, and the general public for increased investment into microbicides and other user-controlled prevention methods.

International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) is a non-profit product development partnership established in 2002 to prevent HIV transmission by accelerating the development and availability of a safe and effective microbicide for women in developing countries.

International Rectal Microbicide Advocates (IRMA) comprises over 850 advocates, policymakers and leading scientists working together to advance an agenda for rectal microbicide research and development.

Microbicides Development Programme (MDP) is a not-for-profit, African-European partnership, established to develop vaginal microbicides to reduce the risk of HIV infection in women.

The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative

International Treatment Preparedness Coalition is a not-for-profit community-driven funding mechanism to support HIV treatment advocacy and education efforts in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America, and NIS/CIS/Baltics.

Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) is based in South Africa and is the driving force behind the current international campaign to increase access to HIV drugs and essential medicines for people with HIV & AIDS. AFAO supported TAC for a period of time in 2001 for their MTCT campaign.
