Laurie Leigh

Laurie is the Chief Executive Officer of National Disability Services, a national peak association representing disability providers across Australia. Since initially training as a registered nurse in the UK, Laurie has worked across many facets of health and human services, from mental health, safety and quality, primary health, aged care and disability. Previously a Board member of the NSW Users and AIDS Association (NUAA), Laurie is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and brings many years’ experiences of corporate and clinical governance to Health Equity Matters. She is also a Board member of the new Jobs and Skills Council, HumanAbility and on the Industry Advisory Board for the Transdisciplinary School of Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation. She has a master’s in health services management.
